Viva Downtown Redding - A Main Street Organization, is a nonprofit organization dedicated to enhancing the cultural, social and economic development of Downtown Redding.

We bring life to the heart of Redding through innovative projects,programs and partnerships. Viva encourages public involvement.

Our vision is a Downtown Redding that reflects a vibrant, healthy downtown community, centered around fostering an environment for investment while preserving, protecting and enhancing the unique character of the area.

The Shasta Blues Society is dedicated to the preservation and promotion of American "Blues" music.

As a 501 (c) (3) volunteer organization we are dedicated to the enhancement and promulgation of the Blues as an American cultural art form.

Each year, just as Redding begins to cool down, numerous local restaurants, wineries and brewers come together with local artists. Gathering  with friends to experience generous food and drink samples, the great cooking demonstrations, and listening to live music make for a great evening out in Downtown Redding.

Turtle Bay Museum is the heart of the Turtle Bay experience. It contains permanent, interactive exhibits and two large special exhibition galleries. The experiences here — underwater fish viewing, walking through historic recreations, experimenting with scientific equipment, viewing the art — are also springboards for the authentic outdoor experiences on the rest of the campus. The exhibits feature a mix of richly layered interpretative material, multimedia exhibits, science experiments, self-guided exploration, and play features.

Big Bike Weekend is a motorcycle event that caters to bikers AND their families. Established in 2000, this year`s event will mark Big Bike Weekend`s 8th year in Redding.
We look forward to expanding the activities for riders and non-riders while making charitable contributions to outstanding nonprofits who serve our community.

VIVA Downtown`s annual WinterFest features a business open house, entertainment, a lighting ceremony of the live historic Redding Christmas tree and a 30-day light spectacular. Viva`s Winterfest attractions drew over 50,000 people to this Downtown Redding Main Street event, giving our folks in our community a great opportunity to meet, shop and dine Downtown.
